What did you gain from the retreat that was most beneficial for you?

Spring 2008

I learned that it's okay to spend time “on me.”

Time to myself. A chance to meet other professional women. Knowledge and suggestions on how to deal with difficult personalities.

More clarity on what I need to work on to create the life I want and deserve.

A feeling of self-worth.

Opportunity to introspect in a spectacular setting. Meeting other professional women who face similar challenges.

Peace. Made new friends. Lots of great information. Karen (reflexology) was incredible! She was a very special woman. Please bring her back!

Well, I knew what I needed to do, but the setting and people allowed me to accept it. Luckily I am a slow learner so I must come back!

How women from all walks of life have so much in common and how helpful they are to one another.

Fall 2007

Peace (inner), relaxation, the opportunity to create, meeting interesting women. As always, I am leaving renewed. Thank you for helping me get there.

I enjoyed meeting the other women and gaining insight from their experiences.

Met interesting women. Helped me in my journey to self improvement.

Meeting beautiful people.

Focusing.

Step back from every day to gain perspective.

The thought that journaling could help me build momentum to act.

The time alone to reflect; the encouragement from Claudia and others for my presentation; the T'ai Chi Chih, the Artist's Way book, other book recommendations.

Critical thinking, focused thinking, insight of myself. This was an amazing time for me.

Insight into myself and a meaningful sharing of new ideas.

Spring 2007

Reflection: The four agreements are key. It's “their” drama - not mine. T'ai Chi Chih was great!

Focus; learning to take care of myself; remaining present.

Greater insight and appreciation for emotional intelligence and its role in leadership. New awareness of assumptions from The Four Agreements.

Working with other women and getting support which was positive; insight into conditioning; Four Agreements.

Getting calmer; taking a moment to stop, think and reflect on what I have, what I would like to have, and how to maybe receive it.

The retreat was wonderful. I really did get a lot out of it. I'm making a conscious effort to be good to myself and put what I learned from the retreat into practice, thanks again, looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed the seminar and hope to return soon. It was educational and fun! How often can you say that?

Winter 2007

The opportunity to come into a totally new place by myself and feel so nurtured and supported. The environment was amazing.

Our “connection” to one another - how we all have challenges and what tools we use to facilitate our “journeys.”

A new way to gain perspective on life's ups and downs.

I enjoyed the topics on the Thinking Style Profile and Communication and Delegation.

Sense of perspective.

Realizing no matter who you are or where you're from, we all have the same needs and desires. Realize it's important to know myself better and not be afraid of who I am.

It truly reinforced many topics I was already familiar with. The best aspect was the interaction with the other participants. Hearing commonalities as well as hearing new and different perspectives.

Identifying needs to center myself through Discovery Journaling and the Silva Method. “Take time to smell the roses.” Love my monkey - going back and reversing the work flow.

I was comfortable with the entire format and found it to be exactly the energizing, informative, motivating environment I needed. I was able to discover a great deal about myself and my life even in that short length of time. Your thoughtful and flexible scheduling was terrific, and the setting wonderfully peaceful. I almost hate to use this term, but basically I found it “Awesome!”

Fall 2006

A renewed sense of calm and well being and joy to try and experience all these cool things we learned and shared.

Forming friendships and gaining insight.

Time for myself to step back and be able to reflect. Opportunity to share with other women.

Taking time for myself was very important; took some time to work through the journalizing exercise which was very helpful.

Relaxed, book review educational, networking, seminars informational = EXCELLENT

Summer 2006

What I found out leading to and including the retreat was that I was exhausted - way too much over the edge versus my calm self. Since the retreat, I am eating better, exercising a lot more, and setting goals.

I was able to relax (which I expected), but I also came away with things to think about.

The benefit of the group, no matter what topic we were discussing. I enjoyed and appreciated the exchanges/sharing, even on the breaks.

Loved the mind, body, spirit components. Not just “heady” stuff, but yoga, t'ai chi, reiki. Very healing components.

What was most beneficial to me was to meet such a great bunch of women. And also to see that I was not alone wanting to work on personal growth.

I came away with a new perspective. I have a lot more confidence in myself and my abilities.

Winter 2006

The benefit of taking time for me and allowing my thoughts to be free flowing through journaling.

The ability to escape from the day-to-day and think about ME. Also, met wonderful women.

The opportunity to share all our stories. We're different yet so much the same, so we can help each other. Also, just taking the “time out” for myself, to get away, think, or feel.

Getting away to spend time with myself and a group of wonderful “warriors.”

The opportunity to relax, meet other caring women, space, one-on-one coaching, exploring topics of interest in group discussions.

Ideas for “growing forward!” How to take steps to develop in next stage of my life.

The interaction with a wonderful group of women and two great facilitators. The retreat was well-organized and the topics for me, perfect.

Fall 2005

Time away from work to think about what I want for my “future life.”

Time to reflect and time for “deep” thinking.

Ability to define areas for growth.

I feel rejuvenated, more relaxed, and more focused on me! Putting structure to the pursuit of my goals.

Time for myself…relaxation…goal setting…commitment to attain these goals…friendship.

Reaffirmation that it is OK to take time for myself and not feel guilty. Also, the time to relax away from outside interferences.

It organized my goal setting and action planning. Organization of segments was just right to focus me in steps.

Affirmation that what I am looking for in life and work is good and OK.

Assertiveness.
